The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is responsible for determining your eligibility for the NDIS, and more information can be found on their website, including the Access Checklist.
How to apply?
After determining that you are eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), you can apply to the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to begin the planning process. This can be done by calling 1800 800 100.
During the planning process, you will work with an NDIA representative to develop a plan that is tailored to your specific needs and goals. The planning meeting can take place in person or over the phone, and it is an opportunity to discuss the tasks you want to achieve and the goals you want to pursue. Based on your discussions, the NDIA representative will help you determine what services and supports you need, and what funding is available to you.
Once your plan is complete, it will need to be approved by the NDIA. After it has been approved, you will receive your finalised plan, which outlines the supports and services that you can access with your NDIS funding.
